This award is presented to a North Star member who has made an outstanding contribution to the club and the sport of
mushing. Maeb Bayers was an active North Star club member in it's infancy and contributed to it's growth and development as
well as to the careers of several midwest mushers of the time. She was known for her knowledge of dogs and mushing, her kindness, willingness
to help and her good sense
